A Lubbock man will spend the next three decades in prison for production of child pornography.

Lyle Shane Johnson received the 30-year sentence from U.S. District Judge Sam R. Cummings on Friday, December 14th.

The 43-year-old man pleaded guilty in August of 2012 to six counts of production and attempted production of child pornography.

Johnson was arrested on June 3rd, 2012 at Wal-Mart, located at Quaker Avenue and South Loop 289. Lubbock Police were called to the area following reports of a man taking pictures up women’s skirts at the store.

Officers found that his phone contained pictures taken in the store and images of child pornography.

He admitted that he used six individual minor females on six occasions to produce pornographic images and videos. Johnson would also photograph himself and the minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

The case was investigated by the FBI and the Lubbock Police Department, and was prosecuted by assistant U.S. Attorney Steven M. Sucsy of the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Lubbock.
