Luke Siegel’s Family Shares Powerful Facebook Video

A year after an accident that changed his young life forever, Luke Siegel’s family has posted a moving video to their Pray for Luke Facebook page.

Last July, Luke Siegel was involved in a golf cart accident that left him with severe head trauma.

In the video, the Siegel Family writes:

We don’t know if this is a laugh, a cry, trying to clear his throat, or if he is hurting. He is getting tubes in his ear today.

BUT IT IS A NEW SOUND, AND HE DID IT TO COMMAND.

After a decision earlier this year to bring Luke home, many of Lubbock’s citizens have watched over his recovery. Siegel’s father, former Texas Tech tennis coach Tim Siegel, has worked with his family to help their son recover.

The Pray for Luke Siegel Facebook page also uploaded an emotional status video in which Luke left a voicemail for his parents over a year ago from a baseball tournament. You can hear that in the post below.

A GoFundMe page set up to help The Siegel Family pay for Luke’s medical bills has raised more than $97,000 in the past year.
