City Manager Lee Ann Dumbauld Responds to Criticism About “I’m Done” Exit from Meeting

The controversy began when a recent meeting about changes in the health department turned, according to the mayor, uncivil.
At that point, city manager Lee Ann Dumbauld left the meeting without answering further questions. Later, the mayor told KFYO that some questions from a health board member were “over the top.” He was referring to board member Brian Carr.
But the mayor also said, “Both sides were out of line in my opinion.”
On the Friday edition of Lubbock’s First News on KFYO, Dumbauld responded.
“I wish I had handled Dr. Carr better, but I was so stunned by the attack, and it was just awful, so all I could tell the group was ‘ I’ve made my presentation, thank you for having me, and I’m done.’ ”
