Lubbock’s 4th on Broadway Starts Tonight

Lubbock's annual 4th on Broadway celebration starts tonight in downtown.

The Amigos street dance gets underway at 7:30p at the Lubbock County Courthouse Plaza. It will run until 11:30p tonight.

Then tomorrow, July 4, a full day of events starts at 8a. The Wells Fargo Street Fair will run from 8a-4p. Also, the Stripes Parade takes place from 9a-11a.Both events take place on Broadway between University Avenue to Avenue Q.

Then, the July 4th Street Dance, featuring the Josh Abbott Band, gets underway at 7p from the Lubbock County Courthouse Plaza. Tickets for that event can be purchased from Select-A-Seat.

The PlainsCapital Bank Picnic in the Park and Youth Orchestras of Lubbock Concert takes place in Mackenzie Park at 7:30p. Finally, the Gandy's Fireworks Extravaganza wraps up 4th on Broadway at 9:30p at Mackenzie Park. While both events are free to attend, there is $5 parking available at the South Plains Fairgrounds.
