On Friday's edition of Lubbock's First News, Aimee Ruel from Lubbock Parks and Recreation talked with Tom Collins and Laura Mac about this weekend's Color Run.

The Color Run is a popular 5K fun run where the runners are sprayed with colorful powder, making them into a "human rainbow." Ruel said this is Lubbock's 2nd year to host a Color Run, and this year there are over 13,000 participant who have registered. All proceeds from the Color Run will go to Lubbock IMPACT/TTUHSC Free Clinic.

Registration for the Color Run is closed, but people are still encouraged to come and view the race. The race kicks off at Saturday, March 23rd, at 9 AM at Mackenzie Park. Parking will be available at the South Plains Fairgrounds.
