Raw video shows Lubbock police officers pulling a man out of his truck and tasing him after he allegedly resisted arrest and assaulted an officer at a local Whataburger.

According to the LPD, before the incident turned violent, suspect Eliseo Padilla III had refused to comply with multiple commands issued by Officer Mitchell to keep his hands out of his pockets. During a pat down, police say Padilla struck Officer Mitchell with a closed fist, which apparently set off the physical altercation seen in the video above.

Lubbock Police Officer Mitchell was the first to arrive at the scene of an incident early Saturday morning (June 25) at the Whataburger on 19th Street where a man was reportedly being aggressive and threatening toward other customers and the fast food restaurant's staff.

The video, which was recorded by witness Kianah Cantu and contains graphic language and violence, shows the incident after she had pulled into the Whataburger's parking lot.

In the video, Lubbock Police Officer Mitchell is seen wrestling with the suspect, identified by the Lubbock Police Department as 30-year-old Eliseo Padilla IIIon the driver's side of Padilla's truck.

You can hear Padilla yell "police brutality, bro" shortly before punches are thrown. Another officer standing by intervenes. Shortly after, one more police officer arrives and attempts to use a tazer on him.

The three officers eventually pull Padilla from his truck and bring him to the ground. Once on the ground, the officers can be seen punching the suspect in the face and torso as they tell him to roll over on his stomach. Eventually, Padilla is turned over onto his stomach and handcuffed. In the video, he does not appear to be punched or hit after he is handcuffed.

Throughout the entire incident, you can hear a young child crying "daddy" from inside the truck.

Padilla was booked into the Lubbock County Detention Center and charged with Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Failure to Identify.

KFYO News reached out to the Lubbock Police Department Saturday afternoon for a comment regarding Padilla's arrest and the video. As of press time, we have not received one. This story will be updated if one is received.
