A Lubbock High School teacher has been arrested for possession of Marijuana in his home. Alejos Anaya was arrested Wednesday night for possession of the drug at his home after Lubbock Police received a tip.

He was charged for possession of less than two ounces of marijuana at his home, which was within 1000 feet of a school.

A press release from Lubbock ISD said

An LISD employee was arrested at his residence on Wednesday evening by the Lubbock Police Department for possession of less than two ounces of marijuana. The residence is within 1000 feet of a school.

 The employee is not at school today. Lubbock ISD is in active communication with the Lubbock Police Department on the progress of their investigation.”

Anaya’s charge is a Class A Misdemeanor and his bond was set at $2500.
