Lubbock Stripes Convenience Store Robbed

Lubbock Police are searching for a suspect who robbed the Stripes Convenience store on University Avenue and 66th Street around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday,  June, 17.

Officials say a Hispanic male donning the uniform of a Stripes employee went into the Stripes store office where money was being counted by a 32 year-old female employee. The suspect then proceeded to threaten the woman with a knife, steal the cash and then flee the store headed northbound.

The female employee was not injured in the robbery. The LPD urges anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of this suspect, to call the Crime Line at 741-1000.
