Lubbock Resident Snatches Gun From Would-Be Robbery Suspect

Lubbock Police are searching for suspects involved in an attempted robbery late Tuesday night.

A Hispanic female knocked on the front door of a home in the 3400 block of 30th Street just before 10:45 p.m. Tuesday.

When the resident answered the door, the woman asked to borrow his telephone. While the woman was on the phone, a Hispanic male rushed from the side of the house toward the victim with a gun in his hand.

The victim managed to get the gun away from the suspect and shot it several times at the suspects as they fled the scene.

The suspects have not yet been located. Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Line at 741-1000. You can also text tips to Lubbock Police at 274637.
