Lubbock Power and Light has released another statement regarding power outages due to Wednesday night’s storm.

The utility says that as of Saturday afternoon, they estimate that 90 percent of all customers who reported an outage will be restored by 12 a.m. Sunday, June 9th.

Some temporary service has been established to customers in the areas where new construction will be required to reestablish permanent service.

Also, other contracted construction crews arrived Saturday morning to assist LP&L construction crews.

As of 12:30 p.m. Saturday, 874 outages still exist in the utility’s service area.
