Lubbock Police will honor several officers with promotions and celebrate the retirement of another.

Seven LPD members will be promoted during a ceremony on Friday, May 2nd.

Captain Greg Stevens is promoting to assistant chief; Lieutenant Joshua Crouch is promoting to captain; Sergeant Jeanelle Taveau is promoting to lieutenant; Corporal Joseph Rosendo is promoting to sergeant; Corporal Jasper  Collins-Koenig is promoting to sergeant; Officer Chad Taska is promoting to corporal; and Officer Robert O’Neill is promoting to corporal.

Also, Sergeant Jim Curtis is retiring after 25 years of service to the Lubbock Police Department.

The ceremony will take place in the second floor auditorium of the Lubbock Police Department at 916 Texas Avenue at 3:15 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. A reception will follow the ceremony.
