Lubbock Police will hold an event this weekend to raise awareness for National Missing Children’s Day.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 31st in the east parking lot of the South Plains Mall, and all area families are invited.

Government agencies, retailers, and clubs will meet together at the event, and families will have the opportunity to complete child identification kits as well.

Activities will be available for local children at the event, and prizes will also be available for participants.

The event was originally scheduled for last weekend, but was cancelled due to rain.
