Lubbock Police Seek Purse Snatching Suspect

Lubbock police are seeking the public’s help in catching the man suspected of robbing a woman at a local elementary school last week.

A woman was walking into Maedgen Elementary, located at 4401 Nashville Avenue last Friday, September 28tharound

6:40 a.m., when a man approached her.

The suspect snuck up behind the victim, grabbed her purse, and dragged her to the cement entry way as he pulled her purse away. The woman hit her head on the concrete when she fell, and the man escaped on foot.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Line at 741-1000. Callers have the option to remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
