Lubbock Police Search for Taco Villa Robbery Suspect

Lubbock Police are searching for a man suspected of robbing a local fast food restaurant.

Just before 11:30 p.m. Thursday, July 4th, the last employee working at the Taco Villa in the 4500 block of 50th Street locked the restaurant and went to his car.

A suspect reportedly approached the employee, pulled a handgun on the person, and instructed the employee to unlock the restaurant.

The suspect escaped with an undetermined amount of money from the business office and left in an unknown direction. It is not known if the person escaped by vehicle or on foot.

The suspect is described as a black male, standing 6’1” tall, and weighing around 170 pounds.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Line at 741-1000.
