Lubbock police are searching for the man suspected of robbing a bank in central Lubbock Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect entered the Alliance Federal Credit Union at 66th Street and Indiana Avenue just before 4 p.m. Wednesday through a back exit of the building.

The man then reportedly handed a teller a note, but did not brandish a weapon. He managed to escape with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police describe the man as white with a beard and long hair, and was last seen driving a white compact car. No injuries were reported as a result of the robbery.
