In the evening hours of Thursday, October 22, Lubbock police were called to the scene of two robberies that took place only 20 minutes apart.

Just after 8:00 p.m. police arrived at the Radio Shack located on the 5700 block of 4th Street in Northwest Lubbock, where two Hispanic suspects, one male one female, demanded money from the cashier.

Police scanners indicated the two suspects may have been brandishing a knife. At this time, there are no reports of what if anything, has been stolen.

About 20 minutes later, LPD responded to what is believed to be an unrelated robbery in Central Lubbock.

A black male wearing a colorful mask and a dark shirt reportedly held up the All Star Liquor on the 4500 block of 34th St. The suspect may have been armed with a hand gun according to police scanner traffic, and escaped before police arrived on the scene.

No arrests have been made in either robbery at this time.
