Lubbock Police Release New Information Regarding House Explosion in January, Offer Reward for Info
Wednesday morning (April 4), the Lubbock Police Department released new information about a home explosion that occurred January 28th.
A $7,000 Crime Line reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for the explosion of a newly constructed home in the 1200 block of North Vinton Avenue.
According to LPD, the perpetrators burglarized the home and stole a natural gas stove. The natural gas line wasn’t closed off after the theft and the gas buildup caused the explosion. In addition to the newly constructed home suffering major damage, other nearby structures were also damaged in the explosion.
