At around 11:56 p.m. last night (Friday, November 3rd), Lubbock Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired at 2915 Amherst.

Thirty-eight-year-old Vincent Rosales was located upon LPD's arrival. Rosales had suffered a single gunshot wound to the abdomen and was transported to UMC by ambulance with possible life-threatening injuries. At last check, Rosales was in critical condition.

Through the investigation, officers were able to determine that a male wearing a ski mask and red shirt kicked the front door of the residence open and then opened fire, shooting and injuring Rosales.

The suspect was not able to be located and the investigation remains on-going.
