Scant details have surfaced on an early-evening shooting that claimed the life of one 22-year-old in central Lubbock on Thursday, December 3, 2015.

A Lubbock EMS unit called for backup to 33rd Street and Indiana Avenue from police officers just before 7:30 p.m., where two men were shot at according to reports.

Henry Anderson, 22, was fatally wounded by a gunshot and died in an ambulance at the scene before paramedics could stabilize him. Police report the ambulance was flagged down at the scene by multiple people in a Ford F-150.

A second victim, Greg Lamar Thomas, 24, has not been reported injured by police, but was allegedly shot at along with Anderson.

As of 5 p.m. Friday, December 4, a description of the at-large suspect has not been released.
