A new episode of popular TV show "Cops" will include an incident that took place in Lubbock, Texas.

In the video clip above, a Lubbock Police Department officer approaches a man he pulled over during a traffic stop and asks him if he has any weapons in the vehicle, and the man, who appears out of it, says, "no."

Later in the video, the officer asks him why he's throwing beer cans out of the car. The man denies it, and the officer points his flashlight to a beer can on the ground near the vehicle, along with a handgun.

After handcuffing the man and bringing him out of his vehicle, the officer says, "yeah, that wasn't there when I walked up."

According to the LPD, the story is called "Throw in the Towel." The YouTube video description of the "Cops" episode reads:

A deputy is forced to deploy his taser when an armed man refuses to comply. A convicted felon tries everything he can think of to escape a trip to jail. Deputies step in when a car begins to roll into oncoming traffic.

The episode, titled "Better Safe Than Sorry," will air on Spike TV Saturday, July 9 at 7 p.m. CST.
