In an ironic display of courtesy, a suspect being chased by a Lubbock police officer after failing to pull over during a traffic stop used his blinker and slowed down for traffic.

The chase started Tuesday night (October 27) when a Lubbock Police
patrol officer tried to stop a vehicle traveling on Slide Road for a traffic violation.

The driver refused to pull over, leading to a chase that ended after he crashed through a fence at 25th Street and West Loop 289. He stopped the car and fled on foot, but was quickly caught.

According to police, the man was driving a 2008 silver Ford Mustang that was reported stolen on Oct. 22.

The driver, Leslie Overstreet (26) and two passengers, Alyssa Nelson (23) and Meghan Farmer (27) were arrested and booked in at the Lubbock County Detention Facility.
