Lubbock Police are asking for the public’s help in locating the man that robbed a local store late Tuesday evening.

Police were called to the Smokehead Shop at 53rd Street and Slide Road just after 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 1st.

According to the LPD press release, the suspect walked in through the front door, brandished a gun, and demanded money from the store clerk.

The suspect is described as a black male with a thin build, standing about six feet tall, wearing a black cap, a red Texas Tech hoodie, dark sweat pants, and a blue bandana across his chin, leaving his face exposed. He fled the scene before police arrived.

The two employees in the store were not injured in the robbery.

Employees of the store say that the suspect was outside of the business prior to the robbery, and patrons coming and going at around 10:40 p.m. Tuesday may have seen this suspect before the robbery was committed.
