Lubbock police have arrested the owner of the suspect vehicle from a November 1, 2014, fatal hit-and-run incident.

Ricardo Barboza, 24, was struck in the 3800 block of Avenue L and succumbed to his injuries a short time later at University Medical Center in Lubbock.

On Monday, November 17, 27-year-old Thomas Travis Bristow was arrested after Lubbock police discovered a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description in the 8100 block of Upland Avenue.

Bristow was arrested on multiple unrelated charges including Driving Without a License, Vehicle Inspection Violation, Expired Registration and No Evidence of Insurance.

Lubbock police took Bristow’s car into custody as evidence and announced that further charges may be pending for Bristow.
