On Thursday, November 5, a Lubbock native was arrested in Idaho for shooting a man to death in Montana.

Tony Dwade Sawyer (48) was wanted in Montana for the murder of Joe Powers (37), as well as the attempted murder of two others who have not been named stemming from the same incident.

According to KAMC News, media accounts are reporting that Sawyer and the two  individuals were stuck in inclement winter weather, and after one of the victims Chevy Equinox was un-stuck, Sawyer began shooting.

Sawyer has a history of violence and unlawful behavior, as just last month he was arrested for DWI and domestic violence.

No motive for the shooting has been established or released at this time.
