Lubbock Murder Suspect Wanted for New Year’s Shooting

The Lubbock Police Department issued an arrest warrant on Monday, January 5, for the first murder in Lubbock of 2015.

According to Lubbock Police, Casey Eby, 23, has been charged with the murder of Elias Gonzales. The 36-year-old Gonzalez was shot in front of his home in the 1500 block of 42nd Street at around 1:45 a.m. on January 1.

Eby is described as a white male standing 6’3” tall and weighing 175 pounds.
