Lubbock Mayor Tom Martin Talks City Council and Water Conservation of Lubbock’s First News [AUDIO]

On Friday’s edition of Lubbock’s First News, Mayor Tom Martin joined Rex and Chris Wynn in studio to discuss yesterday’s city council meeting.

Mayor Martin discussed the reasons why the city voted to increase the tax rate, and well as raise water and sewer rates. He also spoke about the budget and water conservation, saying that we have been under water restrictions for many years, not just since the drought started.
Mayor Martin also took several phone calls from KFYO listeners. He answered questions about various topics such as property taxes, water rates, the city’s growth rate, and storm water run-off.
