Lubbock Mayor Glen Robertson Recovering from Heart Surgery

Late Tuesday night, the City of Lubbock announced that Mayor Glen Robertson (pictured during one of Friday interviews on KFYO) underwent heart bypass surgery at Covenant Medical Center. Mayor Robertson was admitted to Covenant Tuesday evening and is now recovering in Covenant's intensive care unit.

Mayor Pro Tem, Karen Gibson (District 5), will perform the duties of mayor while Mayor Robertson recovers from his surgery.

Glen Robertson is currently serving his first two-year term as Lubbock's mayor. He was elected in May 2012, defeated then-Mayor Tom Martin.
