Today on Lubbock's First News, Teresa Alvarado and Jackie Johnson with the Lubbock Managed Care Center gave details on the upcoming fundraiser gala to be held next month.

The Managed Care Center is a non-profit organization that works to help individuals and families work to overcome drug and alcohol dependencies and other health disorders often associated with addictions. Johnson described the program: "Managed Care offers TIPs for the community: that's treatment, intervention, and prevention." The program also offers out-patient care and in-patient care.

The Gala will be held on the west side of the Jones Stadium at 2508 6th street on Friday October 4 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Tickets to the fundraiser are $30 per person or $200 for a table of eight people. There will also be a silent auction held during the event. For those that do not wish to attend, but would like to make a monetary donation, a donation of $250 is considered a bronze donation, $500 is a silver, and $1000 is a gold donation.
