Lubbock Man Pleads Guilty to Obscene Material Charge
On Monday, January 4, Justin Boyet Johnson of Lubbock pleaded guilty to a charge of “Attempted Transfer of Obscene Material to a Minor.”
The following statement was taken from court records:
“On May 15, 2015, … Johnson engaged in a series of communications with a person he believed to be a 13-year-old girl, who represented that she lived in Lubbock.”
An undercover officer who was posing as the underage girl said Johnson expressed his sexual interest before emailing the would be minor a picture of his penis.
Johnson will be sentenced at a later date to up to 10 years in federal prison.
