Tuesday (Jan. 9), a Lubbock man was indicted for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

KAMC News reports the mother of a 5-year-old girl asked her if anybody had been inappropriately touching her, and the daughter described 18-year-old Brandon Barrientez as the person who touched her.

When police confronted Barrientez, he chose not to speak to them, but when confronted by the mother, he cried and said the 5-year-old was lying.

Police arrested Barrientez last Friday, and he is being held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a $75,000 bond.
