A man has been arrested following a fatal collision Sunday in Lubbock. Brian Cody Hawthorne was arrested today for intoxicated manslaughter and aggravated assault.

Hawthorne, a Texas Tech student, was driving drunk on January 29th when he lost control and fatally hit a bicyclist. Two of Hawthorne’s passengers were also killed.

A warrant for his arrest was issued Tuesday, however authorities could not arrest him until he was treated for injuries from the crash. He is currently jailed under a $150,000 bond.
