Lubbock Man Arrested in Connection for Attempted Burglary

A Lubbock man has been arrested in connection with an attempted burglary on Tuesday.

30 year-old Joshua Olivas was charged with burglary, failing to provide identification and filing a false report.

Olivas allegedly tried to force his way into a home at 13th Street and Avenue W around 7:30 Tuesday morning.

Police found Olivas at the intersection nursing a wound after the homeowner stabbed him while defending his property. Olivas is currently being held on a $8,000 bond.
