A Lubbock man was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after stealing a vehicle.

KAMC News reports 22 year-old Douglas Sowell took a vehicle from the 1200 block of 65th Street on April 16th without the owner’s permission. Sowell also attempted to use a credit card in the vehicle, but was unable to.

A few days later Lubbock Police were called for a report of a stolen vehicle. Police tracked down the stolen vehicle, which was located in the 3900 block of Uvalde Avenue, and arrested Sowell.

He is currently held in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a combined total of $12,500 in bonds. $10,000 for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and $2,500 for theft of a firearm.
