28-year-old Trevor McDonald was arrested yesterday (Sunday) for intoxication assault and two counts of child endangerment.

Lubbock Police were called to 4th Street and Texas Tech Parkway around 6:30 p.m. following reports of a collision involving multiple vehicles. Five victims were located in a Ford F-150 upon arrival. One of the victims was transported to UMC with serious injuries, whereas the other four suffered moderate to minor injuries.

McDonald was driving his Toyota 4-runner west in the 3800 block of 4th Street while the pick-up was heading north in the 400 block of Texas Tech Parkway. The Ford was traveling through an intersection when McDonald ran a red light and struck the pickup. The impact of the collision caused the truck to strike a light pole in the center median, McDonald continued traveling northwest over a decorative landscaping wall.

McDonald was transported to the Lubbock County Detention Center.
