Lubbock Libraries to Waive Fines For Canned Food Donations

Facebook

The City of Lubbock Public Libraries will offer another way for patrons to take care of overdue fines.

Lubbock libraries will accept donations of canned food for payment of overdue fines.

The donations will be accepted in place of the fines from December 2nd through December 8th.

For every dollar of overdue fines that are owed, one item of nonperishable food will be accepted. Other fees may not be paid for with canned food.

The annual event supports the South Plains Food Bank’s “U Can Share” food drive.
