Facebook

Some Lubbock law enforcement members will participate in a family event this weekend.

On Saturday, August 17th, the organization “Wives Behind the Badge” will hold a family day to allow kids and families to meet and interact with local law enforcement.

The event will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Ashley Furniture location at 50th and Frankford.

Lubbock Police K-9, motors, bicycle, and mounted patrol will be available for questions and demonstrations, and the Lubbock Sheriff’s Office K-9, mobile command, and SWAT vehicle will be available as well.

There will also be activities for kids such as a face painting booth, make your own pixie sticks booth, finger painting, coloring book and sticker give away, and interaction with officers and their equipment.
