Lubbock Knights Templar Distribute Toys to Kids at University Medical Center

Kevin Rush, Lubbock York Rite

A local organization has helped some hospitalized children have a brighter Christmas.

Knights Templars from Lubbock Commandery No. 60 distributed toys to children in the Pediatric Unit of University Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lubbock Commandery is part of the York Rite Bodies of Lubbock Freemasonry. The order of Knights Templars is the top ranking organization in York Rite.

This is the second year that the knights have dressed up in full regalia and distributed toys to children in UMC’s Pediatric Unit.

The Knights Templar also support the Knights Templar Eye Foundation, the Knights Templar Educational Foundation, and the Knights Templar Holy Land Pilgrimage.
