Lubbock ISD to Delay Classes by Two Hours for Monday: Other Districts Delays Classes Too

Lubbock Christian University (LCU) offices will open, and classes will start, tomorrow at 10am.

Due to the snow and potential for icy conditions on Monday morning, Lubbock ISD has announced that classes will be delayed by two hours for all campuses. Buses will also be delayed for two hours.

Snow has been falling in Lubbock since about 9am today and a Winter Weather Advisory continues through at least 6am Monday morning.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) Clinic, staff and students will have a 10am start time on Monday.

Texas Tech University classes w2ill have a 10am start time on Monday. Employees are to report at 9:30am, buses will start running at 9am.

Lubbock County offices will open at 10am on Monday. All non-emergency personnel and those asked to report for Jury Duty will need to report at 10am.

South Plains College – 9:30 am start, all area campuses

In addition to Lubbock ISD, other area school districts have also announced delays for Monday:
Frenship ISD – 10 am start, buses on pavement only
Shallowater ISD- 10am start
Lubbock-Cooper ISD – 2 hour delay, buses 2 hour delay
Abernathy ISD – 10 am start, buses on pavement only
New Deal ISD -  2 hour delay, buses on pavement only
Roosevelt ISD – 10 am start, buses on pavement only, Ransom and Buffalo Springs residents on top of the hill pick up
Morton ISD – 10 am start, no buses running.
Ralls ISD – 10 am start, no buses
Ropes ISD – 10 am start buses on pavement only
Seminole ISD – 10 am start, buses 2 hour delay on pavement only
Slaton ISD – 10 am start, buses 2 hour delay on pavement only
Southcrest Christian School – 10 am start
Whitharral ISD – 10 am start, no buses
Christ the King Cathedral School – 2 hour delay
