Lubbock ISD Teachers Honored by TCTA

Three Lubbock ISD teachers have won state awards.

The Texas Classroom Teachers Association (TCTA) has awarded Evans Middle School Principal Flo Touchstone as the 2012-2013 Administrator of the Year.Touchstone was chosen by her peers for her leadership and her ability to bring people together.

Third grade teacher Anita Evans from Waters Elementary has won the TCTA Leader of the Year for her ability to lead local efforts by TCTA. Evans was nominated for this award for her long history of service to her colleagues.

Former Honey Elementary music teacher Pam Allison won the TCTA Retiree of the Year for her outstanding service to students and the community during her 28 years of teaching in LISD.

TCTA will honor these teachers and other state award winners on January 24^th in Austin at the association’s annual convention.
