Coronado High School Principal Dr. Jerry Adams has been named Texas High School Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals and will now be considered for the national principal of the year in 2015.

Adams attended Texas Tech where he received a Doctorate and Masters of Education degree as well as a Bachelor of Science degree. Adams has been a principal for 13 years and at Coronado since 2013.

“Dr. Adams is an exemplary leader who inspires loyalty not only from his staff, but from his students and parents as well,” said LISD Superintendent Berhl Robertson, Jr., Ed.D.  “We couldn’t be prouder of TASSP’s selection of Dr. Adams. He will represent our school district, our community and our state with excellence and integrity.”

Adams will be recognized in a ceremony in Austin on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
