A Lubbock ISD principal will serve as a committee chair for a statewide organization.

Glen Teal, principal of O.L. Slaton Middle School, will serve as chair of the Advocacy Committee for the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association.

The TEPSA Advocacy Committee monitors legislative issues impacting its membership and assists in the development of the organization’s legislative priorities.

“Under the direction of chairs and vice chairs, TEPSA’s committees represent the voice of Texas PreK-8 school leaders,” said Executive Director Sandi Borden.

Teal is currently a doctoral student in Texas Tech’s Educational Leadership Program, and has been an administrator for more than 15 years.

The TEPSA was created in 1917, and has more than 5,800 members.
