Lubbock ISD is partnering with several organizations to try and promote healthy food for children.

Lubbock ISD and ARAMARK will partner with the South Plains Food Bank, the YWCA and the Texas Hunger Initiative to provide healthier food options for children and teenagers 18 years and younger this summer.

The program will kick off June 10th at 11:00 a.m. at the Cameron Court Apartments at 1001 N. Indiana Ave, and last through August 7th.

Free meals, breakfast and lunch, will be offered at more than 30 sites around the City of Lubbock, including seven LISD elementary school cafeterias.

Meals will be provided at Alderson, Bayless, Bean, Ervin, Harwell, Jackson, and Wester elementary cafeterias, Monday through Thursday. Breakfast will be served from 7:30a.m. to 8:30a.m. and lunch from 11:30a.m. to 12:30p.m.
