Two Lubbock ISD educators have recently passed away.

David Wragg died on November 3rd following a three-year battle with cancer.

The 32-year-old taught art at Overton and Wheatley Elementary schools, and students at Overton Elementary established a memorial wall at the school to honor Wragg. A memorial service for Wragg was held Wednesday at First Christian Church of Lubbock.

An account for art education to benefit Wheatley and Overton Elementary Schools has been set up in honor of Wragg at the Finance Office at Lubbock ISD, located at 1628 19th Street. More information is available by calling 766-1070.

Reese Fleming, a Monterey High School teacher and defensive coordinator for the varsity football team, died on November 5th after a brief illness. The 46-year-old was in his first year with Lubbock ISD, and leaves behind a wife and child.

Funeral services for Fleming will be held on Saturday, November 10th at 2 p.m. at South Plains Church of Christ, at 6802 Elkhart Avenue. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9th from 4 to 6 p.m. at Lake Ridge Chapel, at 6025 82nd Street.

The Reese Fleming Memorial Fund has been established at all PlainsCapital Bank locations in Lubbock to benefit the Fleming Family.
