Lubbock Industrial Accident Involving Concrete Mixer Truck Kills One

An industrial accident in Lubbock Friday morning (Sept. 2) claimed the life of one worker.

According to Lubbock Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Ray Mendoza, the accident occurred at 520 48th Street. Two men were working on a concrete mixer truck when one of the men, 50-year-old Jesus Manuel Solano, was pinned between the mixer and the truck’s frame.

Solano was pronounced dead at the scene by Lubbock EMS.

The Lubbock Police Department and Lubbock Fire Rescue also responded to the industrial accident.

Lt. Mendoza says that authorities are currently investigating.
