Lubbock Police have announced they have found a suspect in Sunday's deadly hit-and-run accident.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of 35 year-old Anthony Acosta for the charge of Failure to Stop and Render Aid.

Earlier on Monday, detectives found the 2001 Chevy Monte Carlo involved in the hit-and-run.  The vehicle was seized by police and being processed for evidence.

The Lubbock Police Department urges anyone with information about this case or the whereabouts of Anthony Acosta to call the Lubbock Crime Line at 741-1000.

Lubbock Police responded to a call about a dead body lying in the street early Sunday (March 8) morning.

According to the Lubbock Police Department, the body of 50-year-old Reynaldo Rincon was discovered by police and EMS at 32nd Street and Ave G. EMS pronounced Rincon dead at the scene.

The LPD Accident Investigation Team was called to the scene. Following an early investigation, the team believes the suspect vehicle is a black passenger car and will most likely have front end damage.

The Lubbock Police Department is urging anyone with any information related to this case to contact their Crime Line at 741-1000.
