Gas prices across Texas have fallen consistently over the past few weeks. As of June 21, the statewide gas price average is $2.69 for regular unleaded fuel. That price is four cents less than the week of June 11, but considerably more than the average for June of 2017, which was $2.10.

Lubbock gas prices have fallen by roughly five cents, bringing the average to $2.65. Some local gas stations have prices as low as $2.55 per gallon. According to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch Report, gas prices could stall as summer continues and demand grows. Prices are also expected to rise again.

The current national average is $2.87, or 22 cents more than the Lubbock average. According to the report, Texas drivers are paying $8.26 more per tank than they were last year.
