The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance has won two awards at an annual conference.

On Tuesday, LEDA was presented with a Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award and a Silver Excellence in Economic Development Award from the International Economic Development Council.

The awards were presented at IEDC’s annual conference in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Gold Excellence in Economic Development Award was given for the group’s 2012 Year in Review piece, which was distributed at last year’s annual Economic Forecast Luncheon.

The Silver Award was given for the 2013 LEDA Site Selector marketing piece, which showcased Lubbock’s strengths and assets for relocating or expanding businesses.

“Our team has worked hard to ensure that LEDA’s marketing efforts represent the community and achieve creativity and innovation to set us apart,” said John Osborne, president and CEO of LEDA. “It’s humbling to receive these accolades from industry professionals.”

The IEDC is a non-profit membership organization serving economic developers.
