The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance has announced the creation of new jobs within the city.

At a press conference on Wednesday, August 20, the Lubbock Economic Alliance announced the expansion of the National Pump Company, LLC, The Décor Group and X-FAB. The National Pump Company and Décor Group are both expanding operations within Lubbock, while X-FAB has announced an investment of $15 million into capital equipment which will require more workers to operate and maintain.

“On behalf of the board and staff at LEDA and Market Lubbock, we would like to congratulate National Pump Company, LLC, The Decor Group and X-FAB on their expansion and continued commitment to growing in Lubbock,” John Osborne, CEO and president of LEDA and Market Lubbock, said. “The jobs created and new capital improvements will have a tremendous impact on the local economy. We are excited to see the continued investment in Lubbock, and we remain fully committed to helping these and other local businesses grow.”

According to LEDA, the expansions will create 55 new jobs and represents overall nearly $20 million in capital investments. The National Pump Company purchased American Turbine Pump and will assume operations at their location on Clovis Highway. Their expansion is expected to create 32 new positions. The Décor Group is a business that furnishes Christmas and other outdoor lighting for homes. Their expansion is expected to create 23 new jobs.

The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance was founded in 2004 and has assisted 134 companies with expansion or relocation into Lubbock.
