More than 250 new jobs will be created in the Hub City by the expansion of one local business and the relocation of a new business.

Custom Teleconnect, Inc. has announced plans to expand their current Lubbock Location, and Republic National Distributing Company, LLC will consolidate their operations in Amarillo and Odessa to create one regional distribution center in Lubbock.

The expansion and relocation are expected to create 261 new jobs in Lubbock, and were announced at a press conference Monday by the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance.

Custom Teleconnect is a full-service operator service provider focused toward the telecommunications industry. The company is headquartered in Las Vegas, and has locations in both Las Vegas and Lubbock. Their expansion is expected to add 163 new employees over the next few years, bringing in around $3.5 million in annual salaries.

RNDC is the nation’s second largest premium wine and spirits distributor. They plan to build a 125,000-square-foot facility at the Lubbock Business Park for their distribution center. They will create 98 new jobs with annual salaries equaling $3.5 million.

LEDA states that the capital investment from both these companies is more than $5.8 million, and once fully operational, the total annual economic impact on the area is more than $36,868,000.
