Lubbock County Republican Party to Host County Convention [Audio]

Friday on Lubbock’s First News, Carl Tepper, Chairman of the Lubbock County Republican Party (LCRP), gave details on their upcoming County Convention.

The 2014 County Convention will take place at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center on Saturday, March 22. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and call to order will be at 8:15 a.m. The meeting will consist of Republicans selected by precincts to attend. During the Convention, the LCRP platform is to be completed, permanent officers are selected, and delegates will be selected to attend the State Convention. Tepper said, regarding the platform, ” There’s a couple of things that I disagree with, and everyone is going to have something they disagree with in a platform, but it’s a pretty typical Republican party platform.” Speakers include Mayor Glen Robertson, Congressman Randy Neugebauer, Representatives John Frullo and Charles Perry, among others.
